Oak framed extension to West Bexington house in Dorset, with timber cladding and balconies

Remodelling a tired bungalow

West Bexington,  West Dorset

Located in the coastal village of West Bexington with views of the Jurassic coast, we were commissioned to reimagine this dated 1950’s bungalow in 2018. Now complete, the house has been lifted and transformed to provide rewarding views of the Jurassic coast.

The design was developed to take full advantage of the views, maximise useable floor space within the existing building envelope and improve the energy performance of this previously very tired property.

The house is clad larch and a Douglas fir frame to the upper floor has transformed this into a very special space that frames the sea views and offers our clients the open plan living space they wanted.
