Lindisfarne

Project info +

Lindisfarne is a characterful house nestled in the conservation area of Powerstock, there were some tired, modern outbuildings to the back, which were to be removed to make way for an open-plan kitchen diner, with views to the west across the valley. Because of this valley, there was great consideration to the look of the extension from the West, something that was in-keeping with the historic look of the main house, but still contemporary enough to provide the modern living space needed. The rear wing of theexisting house is remodelled to create a new doorway in, entrance hall and back door, with large utility and shower room. An existing lean to porch has been renovated to provide a useful coldstore/larder off the new kitchen.
