The conservatory is removed and a new extension added in its place as well as a new porch at the front, linking new utility spaces (which use part of the existing garage building) and room over the garage to the the main house.
A home office is created above the garage with its own access point from street level. The new first floor room over the garage and the first floor of the house are clad in Larch to tie them together and settle them into their rural surroundings.
This tired looking house was an old building that had been added to over the years resulting in a badly proportioned house with awkward spaces and a layout that did not function at all well. The house needed complete renovation including reorganising and opening up of internal spaces (and the addition of additional floor space), new services and a complete transformation externally to 'lift; the tired looking house and create a crisp contemporary home.
