As you enter the site, a curved brick wall leads you along a drive which slopes down behind the wall to the entrance of the house. The upper floor seems to float above the ground floor providing a covered entrance area, with the front door indicated by a single opening in the brick wall. Upon entering the panoramic views of the farmland beyond are revealed to you.
The ground floor has minimal glazing on the north side to maintain privacy and reduce heat loss, whilst large amounts of glazing on the south side allow the living spaces to flow seamlessly into the garden. The first floor bedrooms have views across the site, with the master suite enjoying the prime position in the south west corner. Skylights over the stairs and hallway ensure light flood the centre of the house and circulation spaces.
Currently under construction, Brick house takes advantage of its south facing aspect overlooking private mature gardens and parkland beyond.
The building is steel framed. The first floor appears to float above the brick wall.
